The LIT program is a three-week program designed to develop leadership skills through daily practice, staff shadowing, field trips, and project-based learning. Key objectives include:
- Skill Development and Mentorship.
Program Structure (3 Weeks)
- Week 1: Focuses on foundational leadership training, leading by example, activity planning, and game leading.
- Week 2: LITs assist with "Specials" (e.g., Arts and Crafts, Sports and Games) and a camp-wide activity.
- Week 3: Participants are assigned to specific camper groups and assist with a camp-wide activity.
- July 6 - July 24, 2026 (initial 3-week program)
- The deadline to apply for consideration in the initial screening phase is May 28, 2026.
- Please submit with application 2 letters of recommendation online from unrelated adults, such as teachers, group leaders, or other adults who know the candidate well enough to evaluate potential for working with children.
