Child & Caregiver Fall Program with Children First Groton • Register • View Cart •

Join Children First Groton Early Childhood Collaborative for classes for caregivers and children
ages 3-8 themed around early literacy, health/nutrition and safety! Learn about (and taste!) food from around the world with a registered dietician, practice 9-1-1 calls with a Groton police officer, learn about children's nutrition in a fun and engaging way, and get creative with a fun fall craft and story time. An adult caregiver must be present with their child(ren) at all times. Please email with any dietary restrictions/allergies at least one-week prior to the start date. All program materials will be provided by instructors.
Program is free but registration is required.

911 Call Readiness with Officer Sherif
  • Accidents and emergencies can happen at anytime. Would your child know what to do in the event of an emergency?
  • We’d like to help your child feel more prepared. Children will practice the steps of calling 911, and talking to an emergency services operator with Officer Sherif Afifi of the Town of Groton Police Department.

Fall Craft and Story with Ms. Paola
  • Listen to fall themed stories and make a fall themed craft using items found in nature.
  • Plan to get messy while having some fun and using your imagination with Paola Gregoire of Children First Groton. Bringing a smock is not necessary, but welcomed.

Little Dumplings Cooking class With Ms. Erica
  • Have oodles of fun listening to stories about dumplings and noodles, then watching cooking demos, and sampling yummy food prepared by registered dietitian Erica Benvenuti of UCONN.
